Overhead Cost
The global data item Overhead Cost is a special global variable created by Simul8 automatically. It records the overhead financial costs generated by your simulation.
You can attach costs to every object in your simulation. Overhead Costs allows you to specify additional costs not triggered by work items passing through simulation objects. For example, you may want to keep track of one-off machine maintenance that is not triggered by the flow of work in the simulation.

The value of Overhead Cost can be read via the Information Store, and it can be changed through Visual Logic using the SET command, as in the image below:
