Run
When you press the Run button your simulation executes. You see the work you do (products, patients, paper work etc.) move around your organization. The clock in the corner of the screen tells you what the equivalent time would be in the real system.
Your simulation is animated, giving you a visualization of your process,that only can often provide insight into how to improve your process. Look out for key bottlenecks (Queues that continually have high contents level), over-utilized Resources and under resourced elements of a system.
As your simulation runs Simul8 automatically collects performance measures so that you can not only see visually what will happen, you can also get accurate numerical results to prove your case.
Your simulation will run for as long as is specified in the Results Collection Period or until the Pause button is pressed.
