Troubleshooting When Using Machine Learning
Sometimes when using Machine Learning, you may get an error. If this happens, Simul8 will return a 5-digit error code to help diagnose its cause. For help rectifying the error, look up the code in the table below.
Please also ensure that you are using the 32-bit version of R and Python.
Code | Error | Solution |

10003 | Failed to import algorithm file | Make sure the file you are trying to use exists and try again |
20000 - 29999 | Failed to access Simulation parameters | Save your work and restart Simul8 |
30000 - 39999 | Failed to read in Simulation parameters | Save your work and restart Simul8 |
40000 | Failed to return a value | Check that all the relevant R/Python packages are installed and that there are no errors in your R/Python script. |
50000 - 59999 | Failed to return value from algorithm file | Make sure the function you are trying to use returns a whole number (for routing) or a real number i.e. not an imaginary number (for distributions) |
