Protection

The simulation can be protected so that it can be opened and run, dialogs can be run, results can be inspected but objects cannot be moved or their properties accessed.

To protect a simulation go to the File Info section of the File tab. Once the password is set it cannot be removed without the password. If you forget the password there is no way to rediscover it.

Check the check box to “Protect All”.

Once the simulation is saved, closed and reopened the simulation is protected.

To be able to access the simulation in unprotected mode go to the File Info section of the File tab. Enter the password and click OK then click OK again. The simulation is now open to full access until it is closed and reopened.

To remove a password go to the File Info section of the File tab, enter the password, click OK and then delete the password from the box where it was originally typed. Then click OK.

To remove protection from a simulation without deleting the password (so it can be reused later) go to the File Info section of the File tab and enter the password, then uncheck the “Protect All” check box and click OK.

If the simulation is saved, closed and reopened then full access is available.
