When are Resources Released?

Resources are normally released by a Activity as soon as the task at the Activity is complete.

However, if an Activity is blocked this means that the Resource is freed up before the Activity is available to do other work. In cases when Resources are being used to control a sequence of tasks at one real life Activity that is being simulated with a number of Simul8 Activities this might be undesirable. So this 'immediate release' facility can be switched off for particular Activities.

Click the RESOURCE button in the Activity's dialog and unclick the check box for 'Release resources as soon as task complete'
