Introduction to SIMUL8 - UK Course Overview
This 2-day course is highly interactive and practical - just the job when you want to get up to speed with SIMUL8 quickly. Class size is kept small to ensure individual attention and lots of hands-on experience.
By the end of the course you'll be able to undertake your own simulation projects and identify projects for which simulation is an appropriate tool.
Pre-Course Requirements
The course is suitable for delegates with good analytical skills but who are unfamiliar with SIMUL8. Since the course is very practical, basic computer skills are essential.
It is advantageous to have a process that you wish to model in mind as there will be opportunities to discuss ways to tackle your particular issues during the course.
Course Outline
The live course agenda includes both lectures and hands-on case studies in which students create sample models.
Day 1:
Attendees learn about constructing simulation models, how to control work flows
using SIMUL8's internal rules and to use resources to control when work can take
place. Advanced features, including using a work item's unique properties to
control work flows are introduced and used.
Day 2:
Attendees build upon Day 1 and are introduced to the use of unique control rules, Visual Logic, and reading data from tables. Attendees are encouraged to discuss their own applications with the trainer.
