Topic Presenter Date/Time
Supply Chain modelling with Simul8

The importance of keeping a good inventory level is essential to any supply chain. However, we know that adjustments to our current stocks may be needed based on various disruptions that take place.

In this session, Senior Simulation Consultant Naoum Tsioptsias will use simulation to alter stock levels as we notice changes in the supply chain. We will then see through a simple set-up how we can take advantage of the different built-in features of Simul8 to create a Kanban system for our processes. The model will be based on the basics of a supply chain but can be adjusted for various applications!

Using Simul8 for High Volume

In many simulations, there is a challenge of including large quantities of work items with specific measurement units.  When we model liquids we are concerned about litres, with the flow of grains or gases we concentrate on tonnes. In this session, we will show you how to use the high volume feature and capture the specific measurement units you need.

Luckily, Simul8 has a feature called High Volume and Senior Simulation Consultant, Christoph Werner will teach you!

High Volume uses label information for common decisions in your simulation, such as Timing, Routing, Collecting etc., instead of the actual Work Item count. In this drop-in session we will illustrate how this feature works for common applications and how you can speed up and take your simulation to the next level!
